Albuquerque Marathon and related events
The Albuquerque Marathon and associated races take place on April 3, 2027, with the event center at Sagebrush Community Church, 6440 Coors Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120. The event includes in-person and virtual options and supports Heading Home, a local organization serving people experiencing homelessness.
The event program includes these distances:
- Marathon 26.2 miles
- Half Marathon 13.1 miles
- Half Marathon 2 person relay 13.1 miles total
- 10K 6.21 miles
- 5K 3.12 miles
- Kids K 1K
- Virtual Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K options
Course and services: the route crosses the Rio Grande River and runs through the North Valley Bosque with the Sandia Mountains as a backdrop. The course is described as flat and fast. Aid stations provide water and Powerade on the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K; water is available on the 5K. Bathrooms and course signage are provided.
Timing, awards and gear: the event is chip timed for applicable races. All finishers receive a finisher medal. Tech shirts are provided for the Marathon, Half, 10K and 5K. Awards are given for overall and age group categories; the Kids K is non timed and all participants receive medals.
Packet pickup is scheduled prior to race day at Heart and Sole Sports, 2817 San Mateo Blvd. NE, and at Fleet Feet Sports North Towne Plaza, 5901 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Suite R.
