Event overview
The Albuquerque Marathon weekend takes place on April 11, 2026, at Sagebrush Community Church, 6440 Coors Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120. The programme includes Marathon (inaugural), Half Marathon (22nd annual), 10K, 5K, Kids K, and virtual options for the marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K. The course is described as flat and fast, crossing the Rio Grande and running through the North Valley Bosque with views of the Sandia Mountains. Finisher medals are provided for all in-person finishers, and tech shirts are supplied for the Marathon, Half, 10K, and 5K. Overall and age-group awards are issued for the competitive events.
Logistics and rules
All timed events use an electronic timing device attached to the bib; wearing the assigned timing device and bib is required for official results and award eligibility. The Kids K is non-timed and receives a completion medal. Course cut-offs are stated as 6 hours for the marathon, 3.5 hours for the half marathon, and 2 hours for the 10K and 5K. Packet pickup is scheduled for April 3 and April 10, and race-day registration is available. Gear check is offered near the start and at the finish at Sagebrush Community Church. Bathrooms are available along the course. Dogs are permitted only in the 5K and must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Certain wheeled and motorized devices, cameras, and other items are prohibited on the course. A portion of proceeds supports RunFit and the event partners with Heading Home for community donations.
