New Forest Triathlon
The New Forest Triathlon takes place at Moyles Court School in Ringwood, Hampshire. The swim is held in Ellingham Waterski Lake. The bike course runs through the New Forest where wild ponies and horses may be present. The run follows quiet country roads near the venue.
Races offered include the following distances:
- Middle: Swim 1.9 km, cycle 90 km, run 21 km.
- Standard: Swim 1.1 km, cycle 33 km, run 10 km.
- Sprint: Swim 400 m, cycle 33 km, run 5 km.
- Aquabike: Swim 1.9 km, bike 90 km, no transition run.
- Duathlon: Run 5 km, cycle 33 km, run 5 km.
The middle distance accepts relay teams of two to three people. For the aquabike the transition takes place at Ellingham Lake so there is no transition run.
An event village provides coffee, pizza, a mechanic, post event massage and children's activities, making the venue spectator friendly. Car parking and camping are available at Moyles Court School. Road closures affect the area around Moyles Court and participants must park at the school before closures take effect.
Organisers publish a code of conduct that asks athletes to show respect and good sportsmanship. Volunteer marshals are used on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
