New Forest Triathlon
The New Forest Triathlon takes place at Moyles Court School in Ringwood, Hampshire. The event features a multisport course that utilizes the Ellingham Waterski Lake for the swimming leg, which is followed by a cycling section through the New Forest area where participants may observe wild ponies and horses. The final running stage is held on quiet country roads within the forest.
Participants must be parked at Moyles Court School by a specified time due to scheduled road closures around the venue. No vehicle movement is permitted during the core hours of the race, except for emergency services. An event village is available for spectators and athletes, providing services such as coffee, pizza, a bike mechanic, and post-event massages.
A variety of multisport distances and formats are available:
- Middle Distance: 1.9 km swim, 1 km transition run, 90 km cycle, and 21 km run.
- Standard Distance: 1.1 km swim, 1 km transition run, 33 km cycle, and 10 km run.
- Sprint Distance: 400 m swim, 1 km transition run, 33 km cycle, and 5 km run.
- Aquabike: 1.9 km swim and 90 km cycle (transition takes place at the lake).
- Duathlon: 5 km run, 33 km cycle, and 5 km run.
Relay teams consisting of two to three people are permitted for both the Middle and Standard distances. Overnight camping is available on-site at Moyles Court School the night before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
