New Forest Triathlon - Moyles Court School, Ringwood
The New Forest Triathlon is a multi-discipline event held at Moyles Court School, Ringwood, with a swim in Ellingham Waterski Lake, a bike course through the New Forest where wild ponies and horses can be seen, and a run on quiet country roads. The event includes several race formats and an event village for spectators.
Distances and formats:
- Middle: swim 1.9 km, transition run 1 km, cycle 90 km, run 21 km
- Middle relay: teams of 2 to 3 people
- Standard: swim 1.1 km, transition run 1 km, cycle 33 km, run 10 km
- Sprint: swim 400 m, transition run 1 km, cycle 33 km, run 5 km
- Aquabike: swim 1.9 km, bike 90 km, no transition run at lake
- Duathlon: 5 km run, 33 km bike, 5 km run
The event village provides food and services for participants and spectators, including coffee, pizza, a bike mechanic, post-event massage, and children's activities. Car parking is available within Moyles Court School and camping is offered the night before the event. There are road closures around Moyles Court on race day and participants are required to park at the school before the event; vehicle movement will be restricted during the race and departures are permitted once it is safe. Most race categories are open to entrants aged 17 or older with middle and aquabike categories requiring entrants aged 18 or older. Entry prices on the event page range from £62 to £212.
