New Forest Stinger 2026
The New Forest Stinger is an off-road trail race organised by Totton Running Club on Sunday 22 November 2026 at Ocknell Campsite, Fritham, Lyndhurst SO43 7HH. The event uses a route through the New Forest and covers 10 miles, mainly on trail, with a start line located about 1 km from the race headquarters.
Entry is limited to 301 runners and the minimum age is 17 years. Entries close on 19 November 2026. The race is held under UK Athletics rules on a Trail Running Association permit, with the permit number to be confirmed. Affiliated and unattached entry categories are listed with separate fees.
Included for entrants are an exclusive medal, medical cover, free parking, a goody bag and spot prizes, water stations, toilets, and trophies for overall and age category winners for 40+, 50+, 60+, and 70+. Numbers are collected on the day; participants should allow time to reach the start line from race HQ. The course is unsuitable for standard wheelchairs, although the start and finish area is access friendly for supporters. Dogs are not permitted with runners on course.
Organiser terms note that MP3 players are not permitted under UK Athletics rules, bone conducting headphones are allowed, there are no refunds or deferrals, and if the event is cancelled any remaining funds after costs will be donated to the club charity.
