Nav Challenge 2 - Shay Elliott
Nav Challenge 2 is the second race in the annual Navigational Challenge league, scheduled for Saturday 3rd October 2026 in County Wicklow. Entry details are not yet available.
The route will not be marked and GPS use is not permitted, so participants must navigate using map and compass. The published event difficulty is 3, described as easy terrain with under 200 m ascent and courses shorter than 6 km.
Mandatory Level B kit is required and must be carried to the race. The standard list includes:
- Waterproof jacket
- Hat or buff
- Gloves
- Whistle
- Charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored
- Foil blanket, bivvy bag or equivalent
Organisers will confirm the exact kit to be carried on the day depending on conditions and will advise this at Registration. Participants should have the means to carry all required items. Failure to have the required kit may result in denial of entry or disqualification; random checks may be carried out.
