Stone Cross to Lug - Relay
The Stone Cross to Lug - Relay is scheduled for Saturday 26 September 2026 in County Wicklow. It is a three-leg mountain relay with a total distance of 54.00 km and total ascent of 2170 m. The route is not marked and GPS devices are not allowed. The event is classed as Level C - Advanced for mandatory kit.

Leg 1 starts about 2 km south of Stone Cross at a forest entrance and finishes at Sally Gap crossroads, passing Seahan (648 m), Corrig (618 m), Seefingan (724 m) and Kippure (757 m). Leg 2 starts at Sally Gap crossroads and finishes at Turlough Hill carpark, crossing Carrigvore (682 m), Gravale (718 m), Duff Hill (720 m), Mullaghcleevaun East Top (795 m), Mullaghcleevaun (849 m), Stoney Top (714 m) and Tonelagee (817 m). Leg 3 starts at Turlough Hill carpark and finishes at Fenton’s Bar, passing Conavalla (734 m), Camenabologue (758 m), Cannow (796 m) and Lugnaquilla (925 m). The course notes no requirement to visit the Table Mountain cairn.
Safety and kit
All competitors must carry the Level C mandatory kit. Items listed include a waterproof jacket with integrated hood and taped seams, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, charged mobile phone, foil blanket or bivvy, waterproof full leg cover, means to carry at least 500 mL water, emergency food, map and compass. Recommended additional items include rainproof pants and long sleeve base layer.
