Stone Cross to Lug - Relay
This is a three leg mountain relay in County Wicklow covering 49.00 km with a total ascent of 2170 m. The route is not marked and GPS is not allowed. The event is rated as Extreme for its distance and ascent. Entries are limited and an entry fee of €7 applies; entries open 31 August 2026 and close 19 September 2026.
All competitors must carry mandatory Level C kit. Required items include a waterproof jacket with hood and taped seams, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, charged mobile phone with emergency number stored, foil blanket or bivvy, waterproof full leg cover, means to carry a minimum of 500 mL water, emergency food, map and compass. The exact kit to be carried will be finalised on the day and advised at registration. Random kit checks may be carried out and failure to have required items may lead to being denied entry or disqualification.
Changeovers and checkpoints are located on the course and there will be cut offs for safety. Prizegiving is at Fenton's Bar in Glen of Imaal. Recommended additional kit includes rainproof pants, long sleeve base layer and gloves.
