Stone Cross to Lug - Solo
This is a mountain relay run in County Wicklow held on Saturday 26th September 2026. The course covers 54.00 km with approximately 2,170 m of ascent on an unmarked route. GPS devices are not permitted. The event is rated Extreme for ascent and distance.
The route is organised as three solo legs with changeovers at Sally Gap and Turlough Hill and finishes at Fenton's Bar in Glen of Imaal. Registration is at Seahan Forest. There are checkpoint cutoffs at Sally Gap crossroads and at Turlough Hill car park.
Leg distances
- Leg 1: 13.18 km (Stone Cross area to Sally Gap crossroads)
- Leg 2: 15.99 km (Sally Gap to Turlough Hill carpark)
- Leg 3: 20.15 km (Turlough Hill to Fenton's Bar)
All competitors must carry mandatory Level C kit. Required items include a waterproof jacket with hood and taped seams, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, charged mobile phone with emergency number, foil blanket or bivvy, full leg waterproof cover, means to carry at least 500 mL water, emergency food, map and compass. The exact kit to be carried during the race will be finalised at registration and may be subject to random checks; failure to have required items may lead to denial of entry or disqualification.
