About the race

EcoTrail Wicklow is a multi-distance trail running event that starts and finishes on Bray Seafront in County Wicklow and routes into the Wicklow Mountains. The event offers a mix of coastal paths, forest trails, mountain climbs and historic estate tracks, with marked and marshalled courses, finish-line refreshments, a bespoke running T-shirt and a finisher’s memento.

Routes begin beside the sea and pass Bray Head, offering coastal views before entering mountain terrain and broader national park landscapes. Notable route features include climbs of Bray Head, trails through Kilruddery Estate, a loop around the Little Sugarloaf and runs over the Sugarloaf peaks. The 80K ultra lists roughly 2600 m elevation gain.

Cut-off times are published for each distance and are enforced. Race numbers are available for collection the day before or on the morning of the event. Race headquarters is near the Bray bandstand on the promenade; bag drop is provided at the start/finish area with a tear-off label and one small waterproof bag permitted. Parking is limited and organisers recommend public transport where possible.
