EcoTrail Wicklow
EcoTrail Wicklow is a multi-distance trail running event taking place on 26 September 2026 with the start and finish on Bray Seafront in County Wicklow. The event attracts thousands of runners from Ireland and abroad and features routes through coastal, forest, and mountain terrain.
All distances begin beside the sea and include an early climb up Bray Head, where views of the Irish Sea lead into wild mountain terrain. Routes cross coastal paths, forest trails, mountain climbs, and historic estates, offering a mix of climbs, flowing singletrack and panoramic viewpoints.
Distances offered:
- 10K: accessible trail, about 85% off-road.
- 19K: Bray Head climbs, Kilruddery Estate, Little Sugarloaf loop.
- 30K: mountain and forest trails with significant elevation gain.
- 46K: technical mixed terrain with major climbs and coastal views.
- 80K Ultra: nearly 80 km with over 2600 m elevation gain.
Entries include clearly marked and marshalled routes, a bespoke running t-shirt, a finisher's memento produced with Wicklow Wolf, finish-line refreshments and other race-day provisions. Race headquarters is located near the bandstand on the Bray promenade and a bag drop is available by the start and finish area. Official cut-off limits include 80K 12.5 hours, 46K 9 hours, 30K 7 hours, 19K 6 hours and 10K 5 hours. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
