Naperville Sprint Triathlon : August 1, 2027
The Naperville Sprint Triathlon is scheduled for August 1, 2027, at Centennial Beach Park in Naperville, Illinois. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and is the 19th edition.
Distances offered include:
- Sprint Triathlon: 375 meter swim, 22K bike, 5K run
- Duathlon: 1 mile run, 22K bike, 5K run
- Aquabike: 375 meter swim, 22K bike
- Kids Triathlon (ages 7 to 15 USAT): 150 meter swim, 11K bike, 5K run
The swim portion for triathlon and aquabike takes place in the Centennial Beach Pool using a time trial start. Athletes begin in small groups of four every six to eight seconds and self seed by estimated swim time using posted signs. Duathlon athletes begin with a one mile run loop through the park before the bike leg.
The bike course is a two loop 22K routed through neighborhoods surrounding Centennial Beach Park. The run is a 5K along the DuPage River and nearby neighborhoods, finishing at Centennial Beach Park.
Aid stations are placed at every mile along the 5K run course and provide water, Gatorade, ice and portable restrooms. Naperville EMS will be located at three points along both the 22K bike course and the 5K run course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
