St. Charles Turkey Trot
The St. Charles Turkey Trot takes place in St. Charles, Illinois on November 26, 2026. This is the 4th annual edition and it is part of the Run Chicagoland series and the nationwide Thankful Turkey Run/Walk, with results also entered on the national leader board.
Distances offered:
- 5K (chip timed)
- 100 m Kid's Dash
- Kids Division 5K Fun Run
The course is entirely on paved streets or trails and the 5K has a course time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes. Live participant tracking is available through the RaceJoy app. Water stations on course provide water. The event is chip timed with timing integrated into the bib.
Finish-line amenities and event gear include Kuiper’s Donuts at the finish and a runner’s choice of a classic t-shirt or an upgrade to a thin-tec soft polyester pullover. Participant gear must be picked up at pre-event pickup or on race morning; packet mailing is not available and uncollected gear may be mailed for a fee. There is no gear check on site.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group and overall for the 5K. Age categories start at 10 & Under and continue through 70+. Strollers are allowed for walkers and joggers only, dogs are not permitted, and all participants must sign an online waiver. Parking is limited near the start at St. Charles North High School with off-site parking and shuttle service available at Christ Community Church.
