St. Charles Turkey Trot

The St. Charles Turkey Trot is a community 5K event held in St. Charles, Illinois, listed as the 4th annual edition for 2026. The event is chip-timed and includes separate categories for a competitive 5K, a kids division 5K fun run, and a 100 meter kid's dash. The course is entirely on paved streets or trails and the 5K has a course time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes.

Event gear options include a runner’s choice classic t-shirt or an upgraded thin-tec soft polyester pullover. Kuiper’s Donuts are provided at the finish line. Water is available at all water stations. There is no gear check at the event site and packet mailing is not available; participant gear must be picked up at pre-event pickup or on event morning.

Start and finish are at St. Charles North High School, 255 Red Gate Rd, St. Charles, IL 60175. On-site parking near the start/finish is limited; an off-site parking lot with shuttle bus service is provided when the main lot reaches capacity.

Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group and overall for the chip-timed 5K. Age categories begin at 10 and under and extend through 70 and older. The event is part of the nationwide Thankful Turkey Run/Walk and submits results to a national leaderboard.
