Event details
The Napa Wilderness Trail Runs take place at Skyline Wilderness Park in Napa, CA, on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The event offers multiple trail distances:
- 50K
- 30K
- 21K (half marathon)
- 10K
Courses include Rim Rock Trail with steep uphill sections and valley views. The 30K and 50K include a roughly 9-mile section with only a water stop, so participants should carry water and nutrition for that segment. Course maps and elevation data are available through published GPS routes for each distance.
Race logistics and services
Registration closes Fri, May 15 at 11:59 PM PT. Parking at the park carries a $6 fee that is included with race registration; spectators arriving separately must pay the parking fee at the main gate. Dogs are allowed in start/finish and camping areas but are not permitted on the trails. Camping, restrooms, and showers are available through the park; additional park activities are arranged by the park, not the race organizers.
Aid stations are touchless, spaced about every 5 to 9 miles, and will offer prepacked snacks plus plant-based options. The event is cupless - runners must bring their own cup, bottle, or bladder. Completion cutoffs are published for each distance (for example, 10K - 4 hours; 21K - 6 hours; 30K - 8 hours; 50K - 10 hours) with specific requirements to complete intermediate loops. Final results are posted within 72 hours and timing is done manually. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
