Benicia Hand Up Turkey Trot at Benicia Community Park
This Thanksgiving Day event on November 26, 2026 takes place at Benicia Community Park, 540 Rose Drive, Benicia, CA. The trot is an untimed running and walking event and will be held rain or shine. It benefits the Tim & Jeannie Hamann Foundation, which since 2014 has granted over $1.5 million to patients to provide direct support for rent and mortgage payments, gas and groceries, medical expenses, utility payments and other needs.
There are two route options offered for participants:
- 2.0 miles with hill out to Lake Herman and back
- 1.5 miles two laps around Benicia Community Park Trail
Registration is listed at $33.00 or less, processing fee included. Kids 10 and under have free entry. The event includes multiple costume contests with listed prizes: a $25 gift card for the Little Turkey contest (up to 11 years), a $50 gift card for the Big Turkey contest (over 12 years), a $100 Lucca Bar & Grill gift card for a group Flock of Turkeys contest, and a dog costume contest with a dog goodies basket prize.
