16th Annual Reindeer Run/Walk
The Reindeer Run/Walk is an annual community event held in American Canyon, California. The event takes place at 2 Eucalyptus Drive and offers participants the choice of two primary distances through the local area. Participants can choose between the following options:
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 Miles)
- 10K Run (6.2 Miles)
The race organizers utilize a staggered start format to manage the flow of participants. Runners for the 10K distance depart first, followed by 5K runners, and finally 5K walkers. The event includes pre-race festivities and is designed to accommodate various levels of participation.
Youth participants are specifically accounted for in this event. Children aged 5 and under, as well as those between 6 and 17, are eligible for registration. Young participants age 5 and under receive a finisher's medal and souvenir antlers as part of their entry.
The event operates under the health guidelines provided by Napa County. In the event that local health recommendations change, the organizers maintain the policy of switching in-person registrations to a virtual race format to ensure compliance.
