Solano Turkey Trot : overview
Solano Turkey Trot is an annual charity running event in Solano County held on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2025. The event takes place with the main venue and start/finish at Solano Community College in Fairfield, California. It raises funds for local partner nonprofits serving children, families, and seniors, including Meals on Wheels of Solano County and the Suisun City Salvation Army KROC Center.

Event details
The event began in 2009 and is organized as a public benefit charity under the Solano Hearts United partnership model. Registered participants receive a t-shirt, medal, race bib, sample giveaways, and post-race refreshments. Awards and prize money are offered: the top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K receive custom medals and prize money of $300, $200, and $100. Age group top three finishers receive custom medals. A Masters division for ages 40 and over carries prize money of $200, $100, and $50 for the top three. Raffle tickets are sold for fundraising ($5 each or 5 for $20), with proceeds going to the nonprofit partners. All entries are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
