My Funny Valentine
My Funny Valentine is held on the beachfront promenade at Southbourne Beach, Bournemouth. The course is a tarmacked out and back route along the prom with no elevation gain or loss.
Participants may choose their own distance on the promenade course. Laps are officially measured and certified by the Association of UK Course Measurers so the route counts as a road marathon for 100 marathon club purposes. All finishers of a lap or more receive a medal.
Race-day arrangements include number pick-up at on-site registration before starting. Aid and drinks are provided at the start/finish of each lap with a selection of savoury and sweet items. There is also an area to leave personal items. The organiser does not provide plastic cups; participants are expected to provide their own. Public toilets and showers are available along the promenade.
Please note that, as per UK Athletics rules, distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under.
