MTC Sale Aquathlon 5 2026

The event takes place on 8 September 2026 at Sale Water Park, Trafford Water Sports Centre, Rifle Road, Sale M33 2LX. A permit has been issued by British Triathlon and the event expects around 80 competitors. The organiser is Manchester Triathlon Club.

Distances

MTC Sale Aquathlon: 800m swim, 5 km run
Junior event: 400m swim, 2.5 km run

The main swim stage is held in open water on the lake and has an entry and exit ramp. Transition area is approximately 10 m on tarmac and includes a ramp. The run course is largely flat with a mixture of surfaces and is traffic free; some sections use closed roads.

Chip timing is used and results are published online. Event facilities listed include changing, parking and toilets. Volunteers from Manchester Triathlon Club support event operations.
