Bury 10K
The Bury 10K takes place on Sunday 20 September 2026 and is staged in partnership with Bury Council. Launched in 2016, the event has grown in popularity and starts and finishes close to The Rock in Bury. The course is described as suitable for all abilities and entrants must be 15 years or over on event day.
Entries include chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag, an exclusive medal and an option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt. An event village offers food and drink for purchase, space for partner charities and nearby bars and cafés for spectators and participants.
On-course support includes water stations supplying 330ml bottles and recycling bins at each water point, fixed first aid stations near water stations, roaming first aiders and a first aid unit and recovery area near the start and finish. Pacers sponsored by Arla Protein will carry flags with target finish times. Toilets are provided around the stadium; runners seen urinating outside the provided facilities may be disqualified.
Practical arrangements include a designated Baggage Store where runners should use the tear-off strip on their race number to tag bags, and a clothing collection for donations of discarded items left at the start unless placed in the baggage store. Official race photography will be available to purchase and results will be posted on the event website after the race. Travel options listed include car, bus and rail or tram, with several car parks near the event village. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
