Event Information
The Bury 10K is staged in partnership with Bury Council and has grown in popularity since its launch in 2016. The event starts and finishes close to The Rock.
What's Included
Participants receive chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag, an exclusive medal, and have the option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt. An official headphone partner, Shokz, offers a discount to entrants.
Logistics
Entrants must be 15 years or over on event day. There is a Baggage Store for participants to leave their bags before the event. Water stations are located on the course.
The Event Village offers food and drink for purchase, and several bars and cafés are in the area. Partner charities are also located in the Event Village.
Pacers sponsored by Arla Protein will be on the course to help runners stick to their intended finish time. Toilets are located around the stadium. Medical personnel and first aid stations are available on the course and in the Event Village.
Sustainability
The event encourages participants to use recycling bins provided at water stations and general bins across the event site. A partnership with JogOn allows runners to drop off unwanted old trainers at a station in the Event Village.
Travel
Bury is 8 miles from Manchester city centre with links to the M60 and M66. Several car parks are located close to the event village: Castle Leisure Centre, The Rock, Millgate Shopping Centre, The Market, and Knowsley Place.
