Bury 10K

The Bury 10K takes place on Sunday 20 September 2026 and is staged in partnership with Bury Council. The event began in 2016 and entrants must be at least 15 years old on race day. The start and finish are close to The Rock and the course is described as suitable for all abilities.

Participants can enter the race for a range of reasons including aiming for a personal best, fundraising for a charity, or setting a fitness target. The event package includes chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag, an exclusive medal and the option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt.

On race day an Event Village offers food and drink for purchase and hosts partner charities. Practical arrangements include a designated Baggage Store with a tear-off strip on the race number, allocated toilet facilities around the stadium, and water stations on course supplying 330 ml bottles with recycling bins nearby. Pacers sponsored by Arla Protein will carry flags indicating target finish times. Medical cover includes roaming first aiders, fixed first aid stations near water points and a first aid unit and recovery area close to the start and finish.

Additional services noted are event photography by MarathonPhotos, online publication of results after the event, clothing collection for donation, and trainer drop-off points run by JogOn.
