About the race
The Bury 10K is a city road race staged in partnership with Bury Council. Launched in 2016, the event has grown in popularity and starts and finishes close to The Rock in Bury. Entrants must be 15 years or over on event day.
The event distance is 10K and chip timing is provided. Included for participants are a finisher’s goody bag, an exclusive medal and the option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt. MarathonPhotos will take pictures on course and results are published on the event results pages after the race.
On-course support includes water stations supplying 330ml bottles and recycling bins at each water point, fixed first aid stations near the water stations, roaming first aiders and a first aid unit and recovery area near the start and finish. Pacers sponsored by Arla Protein will carry flags with target finish times. Toilets are located around the stadium and a designated baggage store is available; entrants are asked to use the tear-off strip on their race number to label baggage.
The Event Village offers food and drink outlets, space for partner charities and the Race Office. Sustainability measures include event bins, recycling on course and trainer drop-off stations run by JogOn. Bone conducting headphones are permitted provided volume remains low.
