Peak Raid Race 1 Hayfield
Peak Raid Race 1 Hayfield is part of a four event series held in 2026 and scheduled for 20 September 2026 in Hayfield. Each event is a three hour fell running score event using SiTiming. Competitors receive a waterproof map with control descriptions and points values and then have three hours to select a route and visit controls to collect points. Late return results in point penalties.
The series covers a variety of terrain from high moorland requiring accurate navigation to more runnable limestone dales with a network of footpaths. The event format supports solo entries and pairs. Pairs may enter any category and the category for a pair is determined by the age of the eldest competitor. Age categories are determined by age on 31/12/2026. The minimum age for entry is 14 and there is a specific parent or guardian and under 18 category that requires the accompanying adult to be over 21 and to be the parent, guardian, or an appointed accompanying adult.
Organiser rules require all competitors to carry the FRA Mandatory Minimum Kit: waterproof jacket and trousers with taped seams and attached hood, hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle, emergency food, and a survival bag. All competitors will have their kit checked. Dogs are not allowed. Prizes count for competitors who complete at least two races; awards are given to first, second and third in categories, with reduced awards if entries are few.
