MTC Aquathlon Series
The MTC July Aquathlon is part of a five-race series organized by the Manchester Triathlon Club. These mid-week events take place on Tuesday evenings at the Trafford Water Sports Centre located within Sale Water Park. The venue provides a closed environment for multi-sport competition featuring swimming and running.
Participants can choose from two specific categories based on age and distance:
- Adults (15+): An 800m two-lap swim followed by a 5km two-lap run.
- TriStar 3/Youths: A 400m swim followed by a 2.5km run.
The swim portion is held in the open water of the park, while the run course utilizes the surrounding paths. Registration takes place on-site at the venue prior to the event. Participants who are not members of British Triathlon are required to purchase a Race Pass to compete.
The event venue at Sale Water Park includes parking facilities located outside the boathouse restaurant. For those using public transport, the site is positioned a short walking distance from the Sale Water Park Metrolink stop. Facilities include a transition area for switching between the swim and run disciplines. The event is open to a maximum of 80 participants.
