Mountain to Fountain
Mountain to Fountain is a road race event in Fountain Hills, Arizona on March 27, 2027. It offers two race distances:
- 15K point-to-point from McDowell Mountain Regional Park to Fountain Park
- 5K two-lap route around Fountain Park
The 15K course runs from McDowell Mountain Regional Park through the Sonoran desert and the Town of Fountain Hills, finishing at Fountain Park. The 15K course is USATF certified. Aid stations and portable restrooms are provided on the 15K at miles 2.25, 4.15, 6.0, 7.8, and at the finish. The 15K has a 2.5 hour time limit.
The 5K loops around Fountain Park with water and restrooms available at the finish area as runners pass for lap 1. Key course stats for the 15K include approximately 9.4 miles and 297 feet total elevation gain; the 5K is about 3.1 miles with 242 feet total elevation gain.
Registered participants receive a 50/50 blend t-shirt when ordered by the deadline, a finisher medal, access to the finish expo, post-race food, and one beer for those 21 and older. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to top three in standard age-group bands. A team competition for the 15K scores the top four finishers per team and awards the winning team one scoring member's weight in beer. Live splits are available on race day.
