Mountain Mushroom Festival Fungus 5K and 2K Run/Walk
The event takes place in Irvine, Kentucky, at the corner of 199 Broadway and Estill Avenue. It is organized as part of the Mountain Mushroom Festival and includes a timed 5K race and an untimed 2K fun run/walk.
Registration includes a T-shirt; shirt size availability depends on the number registered. The shirt material is a 90/10 cotton and poly blend, ring spun. Pre-registered shirts are reserved and bagged at the pre-registration table at check-in if not picked up earlier at city hall.
Awards and post-race provisions are provided. The 5K awards include cash for the overall male and female winners and an overall winner medal. Age group medals in gold, silver, and bronze are given to the first three male and female finishers in each age division. Snacks and drinks will be served at the finish area.
The Kiwanis Club of Irvine-Ravenna will assist with race operations. A pancake breakfast is offered at Irvine Masonic Lodge number 37 near the starting area; menu items listed include pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, juice, milk, and coffee.
