Event
The Run/Walk for Hope 5K takes place on April 18, 2026, in Richmond, Kentucky, at White Hall Park (500 White Hall Shrine Rd, 40475). The event is organized by Legacy of Hope Restored. Race offerings include:
- 5K (Run/Walk for Hope 5k)
- 1K (Kona Ice Kids Color Run, for ages 17 and under)
- Virtual 5K
The listed entry fees are $20 for the 5K (ages 0-9 free) and $10 for the kids color run. The Virtual 5K is listed at $25. Prices increase after December 31, 2025. The kids color run is untimed and follows a route around the lake where participants are splashed with color; it is not professionally timed or tracked.
Logistics and features
One hundred percent of race proceeds benefit Legacy of Hope Restored, a U.S. nonprofit that supports educational and mentoring programs in Cartagena, Colombia, and Mendoza, Argentina (including a tutoring program and PEPE's educational support). Packet pickup is scheduled at the race venue pavilion on race day. Parking is at the main White Hall Park parking lot; indoor restrooms are available near the pavilion. Race timing is provided by RaceRise. Additional listed features include commemorative shirts (men's, women's, youth), overall and age-group awards, a team award, free race photos, food, music, face painting, and on-site Kona Ice for Kids Color Run participants.
