Run/Walk for Hope 5K
The Run/Walk for Hope 5K is a community event at White Hall Park in Richmond, Kentucky on April 18, 2026, presented by Legacy of Hope Restored. One hundred percent of race proceeds will benefit Legacy of Hope Restored, a nonprofit that supports feeding, education, and mentoring for economically poor and marginalized communities through partnerships with local schools and organizations.
Legacy of Hope Restored supports programs in Cartagena, Colombia and Mendoza, Argentina. In Cartagena the organization operates a tutoring program aimed at helping children who are falling behind in school. In Mendoza the organization supports an educational program called PEPE's that provides educational support, basic needs, and community for at-risk children and families.
Distances offered include:
- 5K in-person run/walk
- 1K Kona Ice Kids Color Run for ages 5 to 12
- 5K virtual option to be completed anywhere
Race features include a scenic course through historic White Hall, untimed color run for children, commemorative race shirts in multiple sizes, finisher medals, overall and age-group awards for the 5K, an award for the team with the most members, race timing services, free race photos, food vendors, music, family activities, and outdoor play presented by the Madison County Library. Packet pickup is scheduled on race day at the park pavilion. Parking is available at the main White Hall Park parking lot and indoor restrooms are located near the pavilion.
