Event Overview
The Howlin' Wolfe is an inaugural running event scheduled for April 11, 2026, in the Red River Gorge area of Slade, Kentucky. The race begins and ends at the Natural Bridge State Resort Park. Participants will traverse a variety of terrain throughout the course, which includes single track trails, fire roads, and paved road sections.

Logistics and Participation
Participation is limited to a total of 200 runners across both distances. Registered participants will have access to aid stations located at specific points along the route, including the Gray's Arch parking area, Koomer Ridge Campground, and the Auxier Ridge parking area.
The event also serves as a fundraiser for local emergency services. Donations collected during the registration process are allocated to the Powell County and Wolfe County Search and Rescue teams to support their volunteer operations in the region.
