Nottingham MoRun
The Nottingham MoRun takes place at the Memorial Gardens Riverside on the Victoria Embankment. This event allows participants to take part in various distances while supporting the Movember Foundation, a charity focused on men's health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention. The course consists primarily of paths, though it includes a bridge crossing and a small road section. The routes are accessible for buggy running and wheelchairs, and the event is dog-friendly.
The available distances include:
- 1.5 km (Mini MoRun)
- 5 km (One lap)
- 10 km (Two laps)
- Half Marathon (One 1.1 km loop followed by four full laps)
Each participant receives a unique MoRun finisher medal and a dedicated headband upon arrival. The event features a full race chip timing system, providing runners with both gun times and net times immediately after crossing the finish line. Results are posted online following the conclusion of the races.
The event hub is situated in front of the Memorial Gardens overlooking the river. Facilities on-site include toilets, a manned bag storage area with limited space, and a finish line refreshment station offering water and sweets. Participants often engage in fancy dress, and bonus medals are awarded for categories such as best costume and fastest runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
