Course and facilities
The swim is a 400m effort in a 4-lane, 25m pool; swimmers are grouped into small waves and must count their own lengths. Exit from the pool leads to a roughly 150m run on tarmac and grass to transition. The bike is a 22km out-and-back on open roads; the route includes a right-hand turn after the bridge at Kingston on Soar and is marshalled at the roundabout. The 5km run is three 1-mile laps on mixed surfaces of pavement and hard pack trail. The event provides a fully marked course, chip timing with online results, toilets including disabled and baby changing, an eco medal, food and coffee vendors, and medical and safety crews. Prizes are awarded in overall and age-group categories and for aquabike and aquathlon results. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
