Event details
Thoresby Park Longhorn Trail Event takes place on 18 April 2026 at Thoresby Park, Newark, NG22 9EP. The estate covers over 1,000 acres and includes a 17th-century mansion and wildlife such as wild deer and long-horned cattle. The terrain is described as fairly flat. Live chip timing will be provided by Timing Up North. Entry fees range from £12 to £30. On-site parking is available for £3 per vehicle. Clumber Park Hotel & Spa is listed as nearby accommodation with a range of rooms and complimentary parking. All finishers receive Wild Deer merchandise, an event medal, and a snack.
Race distances
- Family 2km - suitable for ages 5+ (no canicross)
- 5km - suitable for ages 11+
- 10km - suitable for ages 15+
- Half Marathon - suitable for ages 17+
Additional information
Route maps are available for the 5km, 10km and half marathon routes; the 2km route is to be confirmed. The event is canicross friendly except the 2km distance; runners may run with up to two controlled dogs and there is a separate start for canicross participants.
