Pink Moon Ladies Trail Half Marathon
The Pink Moon Ladies Trail Half Marathon is a women-only trail race held on 17 April 2027. The event uses the same route as the Lunar Trail half marathon races and is held for the third time in 2027. Participation raises funds for the local Women's Aid charity, The Elm Foundation.
The course is an out-and-back half marathon that passes through Sutton Springs Wood, climbs to the Five Pits Trail and then undulates before a turning loop at the halfway point in Pilsley. Runners should expect to be 20 to 30 minutes slower than typical half marathon times on this terrain. The halfway checkpoint provides water, squash and sweets.
Safety and support on the course include additional marshals in hi viz, glow sticks through the wood and down Rock Lane to guide runners, and a tail runner or safety bike. Medic cover is provided on the course and at Race HQ.
Race HQ is at Rock Lane, Sutton Scarsdale S44 5ST. Registration is at Race HQ and free car parking is available there and on the nearby lane; toilets are available at Race HQ. The event has a 3.5 hour time limit, which includes an optional 30 minute earlier start for slower athletes or for those not confident running at dusk or in the dark. This optional earlier start is not a competitive wave start and is not intended for runners who expect to finish inside 2 hours 30 minutes.
Finishers receive a medal and can have complementary cake and hot drinks by the campfire. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
