Pink Moon Ladies Trail Half Marathon

The Pink Moon Ladies Trail Half Marathon is a ladies-only running event held in Sutton Scarsdale. The course follows an out-and-back trail route, starting from the Race HQ at Rock Lane. Participants run through Sutton Springs Wood before climbing toward the Five Pits Trail. The terrain is described as undulating and scenic, utilizing the same route as the Lunar Trail Half marathon races.

The event offers a single distance:

  • Half Marathon (approx. 21.1 km)

A checkpoint is located at the halfway turnaround point in Pilsley, providing water, squash, and sweets. For safety, the course is staffed by marshals in high-visibility clothing, and glow sticks are used to mark the path through the woods and down Rock Lane. A tail runner or safety bike is also present on the course, and medical cover is provided at the HQ and along the route.

The event has a total time limit of 3.5 hours. To accommodate different paces or those less confident running in low light, an early start option is available for athletes who expect to finish in more than 2.5 hours. At the conclusion of the run, participants receive a medal and can access hot drinks and cake by a campfire. The race raises funds for The Elm Foundation, a local Women's Aid charity. Facilities at the Race HQ include toilets and free car parking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
