Pink Moon Ladies Trail Half Marathon
The Pink Moon Ladies Trail is a ladies only trail half marathon held on 17 April 2027 on the same route used for the Lunar Trail half marathon races. The 2027 edition is the third running of this event and it raises funds for the local Women's Aid charity The Elm Foundation.
The out and back route runs through Sutton Springs Wood, climbs onto the Five Pits Trail and then undulates toward a turning loop in Pilsley. A checkpoint at the halfway turnaround provides water, squash and sweets. Organisers note runners can expect the course to take around 20 to 30 minutes longer than a typical road half marathon.
Race facilities include a finish medal, complementary cake and hot drinks by a campfire, free car parking at Race HQ and nearby lane, and toilets at Race HQ. Registration is based at Race HQ on Rock Lane, Sutton Scarsdale S44 5ST. Safety measures on course include additional marshals in hi viz, glow sticks through the wood and down Rock Lane to guide runners, a tail runner or safety bike, and medic cover on course and at Race HQ.
Entries open 4 June 2026 and close 12 April 2027. Minimum age is 18. Entry fees shown are UKA member £28.00 and non member £30.00. An option to purchase event insurance XCover is available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
