About the race
The event is the 16th Annual Mooresville/Lake Norman Turkey Trot, held on November 26, 2026, at The Christian Mission, 919 N. Main Street, Mooresville, NC 28115. The program includes community-focused running events that support The Christian Mission's local services.
Distances:
- 3.1 Miles (Turkey Trot 5K)
- 880 Yards (Kids Fun Run, ages 10 and under)
The Kids Fun Run is not chip-timed; participants in that event will not receive packets or shirts. There is no need for Kids Fun Run participants to check in at the registration table or attend early packet pickup. Participation prizes for the Fun Run are available while supplies last.
Packet pickup for other participants is scheduled at The Christian Mission on:
- Monday, November 23, 10:00 am–2:00 pm and 5:00 pm–7:00 pm
- Tuesday, November 24, 10:00 am–2:00 pm
- Wednesday, November 25, 9:00 am–12:00 pm
Registration details and fees listed for the events include a $35.00 fee for the 5K and a $15.00 fee for the Kids Fun Run. Registration fees are non-refundable. Race T-shirts are guaranteed only for participants registered by November 12. Wave starts will be used based on anticipated pace to reduce crowding. Awards include gift cards for the top three overall male and female finishers and prizes for top three in each age division.
Financial donations and shelf-stable food items are accepted on race day with a designated drop-off area near registration. Parking is available at nearby lots and local businesses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
