Mooresville/Lake Norman Turkey Trot
The event is the 16th Annual Turkey Trot, held on November 26, 2026, at The Christian Mission, 919 N. Main Street, Mooresville, NC 28115. Proceeds and registration fees support The Christian Mission and its programs that provide food, clothing, housing assistance, case management, and educational programs to local individuals and families.
The event program includes:
- 3.1 Miles 5K run with a registration fee of $35.00.
- 880 Yards Kids Fun Run for children ages 10 and under; registration fee $15.00.
Packet pickup is available at The Christian Mission on the days before the event: Monday, November 23; Tuesday, November 24; and Wednesday, November 25. The first 500 runners to pick up packets will receive a swag bag. Race T-shirts are guaranteed only for participants registered by November 8. The Kids Fun Run is not chip-timed; no packets or shirts are distributed for that event, and there is no requirement to check in before the run. Participation prizes for the Kids Fun Run are available while supplies last.
On race day there are wave starts organized by anticipated pace to reduce congestion, and strollers are welcome in the wave intended for walkers and families. Awards include gift cards for the top three overall male and female finishers and prizes for the top three in each age division. Food and financial donations are accepted on race day with a designated drop-off near the registration area. Parking is available at several nearby lots and businesses around N. Main Street.
