The DART Abersham Free 5k is scheduled for December 13, 2025 in Davidson, North Carolina. The event is hosted by DART (the Davidson Area Running Team) and is offered at no entry fee. The course distance is 5K and the event is held monthly on the second Saturday.
Course and logistics
The course is an out-and-back on the paved Abersham Greenway. The greenway remains open to the public during the event, so runners share the route with walkers and cyclists and are asked to keep to the right when passing. The start area is at the lower parking lot of Abersham Park, 18520 Abersham Dr, Davidson, NC 28036.
There are 27 parking spaces in the lower Abersham lot. Two overflow parking areas are available: an upper lot near Shearer Road and a lot at the end of Fisher Road in Fisher Farm Park; each is about one mile from the start. Parking is also permitted on the one-way road next to the lower lot if through traffic is not blocked; parking on the shoulder is not recommended. Check-in is handled by volunteers, and participants are assigned a reusable race number to use for future events.
