DART Abersham Free 5k : Davidson, NC

DART Abersham Free 5k takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026 in Davidson, North Carolina. Hosted by DART (The Davidson Area Running Team), the event is free and is held on the second Saturday of every month. The course uses the paved Abersham Greenway for a measured 5K out and back.

The race meeting point is the lower parking lot of Abersham Park at 18520 Abersham Dr, Davidson, NC 28036. The lower lot has 27 parking spaces; two overflow lots are available at the upper lot near Shearer Road and at the end of Fisher Road in Fisher Farm Park, each about one mile from the start. Parking on the one way road next to the lower lot is permitted if through traffic is not blocked; parking on the shoulder is not recommended.

Participants should check in with volunteers before the event and will be assigned a number to keep and use at future runs. The greenway remains open to the public during the event, so runners should watch for walkers and cyclists and stay to the right when passing or being passed. Organizers note Apple Maps and Google Maps provide usable directions while Waze may not. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
