DART Abersham Free 5K : Davidson, NC
The DART Abersham Free 5K is a free, recurring event held the second Saturday of every month at Abersham Park in Davidson, North Carolina. The course is a paved, flat out and back on the Abersham Greenway and is described as a perfect 5K distance.
The greenway is not closed during the event; participants should keep to the right and be aware of walkers, cyclists, and other users. Parking at the lower Abersham lot offers 27 spaces. Two overflow lots are available : one at the upper lot near Shearer Road and one at the end of Fisher Road in Fisher Farm Park; each is about a mile from the start. Parking on the one way road next to the lower lot is permitted if through traffic is not blocked. Shoulder parking is not recommended.
Participants check in with volunteers on arrival and are assigned a number to keep and reuse for future events. Apple Maps and Google Maps work for directions to the race address; Waze has been reported to be unreliable for this location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
