Gobbler races at Dogwood Shelter, Concord NC
The event takes place at the Dogwood Shelter, located at 760 Orphanage Rd, Concord, NC 28027. The venue includes parking with restrooms in the right corner of the lot. Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race start. All runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration.
Courses are out-and-back routes on mostly paved surfaces with a short stretch of gravel or dirt. The routes run through shaded areas. A six hour overall course time limit applies.
Distances and formats:
- 5K: out-and-back once (3.11 miles total)
- 10K: out-and-back twice
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles): out-and-back repeated four times
- Marathon (26.2 Miles): out-and-back repeated eight times
Registration fees are listed per distance: $30 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K, $65 for the half marathon, and $95 for the marathon. The courses have mapped loop lengths of approximately 1.56 miles for the 5K/10K route and 1.64 miles for the half/marathon route, described as out-and-back segments that combine to the advertised distances.
