Event Overview
US Road Running organizes a race event in Concord, North Carolina, featuring multiple distances on a multi-use course. The staging area is located at the Dogwood Shelter at 760 Orphanage Road. The event is open to the public; however, all participants must register through the official registration platform before arrival, as there is no registration available on the day of the event. Packet pickup is conducted during a 20-minute window ending shortly before the start.
Course Information
The courses are primarily paved with some sections consisting of gravel or dirt. The routes are shaded, and bathroom facilities are located in the corner of the parking lot at the entrance. All distances follow an out-and-back format.
- 5K: A single out-and-back loop.
- 10K: Two laps of the out-and-back course.
- Half Marathon: Four laps of a 3.28-mile out-and-back course.
- Marathon: Eight laps of a 3.28-mile out-and-back course.
Regulations and Awards
A time limit of 6 hours is enforced for all participants across all distances. Participants receive finisher medals upon completion. The event also includes award opportunities for the best costume and provides series points for those tracking progress through the US Road Running series.
