Monster Triathlon - Keller, TX
The Monster Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned triathlon held at the Keller Natatorium and surrounding roads in Keller, Texas. The 2026 edition marks the event's 21st year and includes separate divisions for Age Group, Athena (female 165 lbs and over), and Clydesdale (male 220 lbs and over).
Course distances:
- 300 meter swim in the Keller Natatorium indoor pool
- 14.3 miles bike over three loops, with rolling terrain
- 3.1 mile run
Participants are body marked before entering transition; volunteers will assist and athletes may mark themselves. Packet pickup is scheduled on multiple days and locations: Bike Mart in Richardson on Wednesday October 7, Bear Creek Running in Keller on Friday October 9, and an adult only pickup at Bear Creek Running on Saturday October 10.
Awards are presented three deep in each age group and for Athena and Clydesdale divisions, plus individual overall awards and masters and grand masters categories. Age groups range from 14 and under through 75 and over, with masters and grand masters defined by age brackets.
The event notes a weather policy: in inclement weather the start may be delayed by up to one hour, after which the course may be shortened or altered for participant safety.
