Fort Worth YMCA Turkey Trot
The Fort Worth YMCA Turkey Trot is an annual Thanksgiving Day event held at General Worth Square on November 26, 2026. The event offers a family friendly atmosphere with options to run, jog, or walk. Strollers and dogs are permitted.

Race awards and finish items are distributed to early finishers: the first 10,000 5K finishers and the first 2,000 8K finishers receive a commemorative medal, and the first 1,000 children in the Gobbler Trot receive a finisher award.
All proceeds from the Fort Worth YMCA Turkey Trot are directed to scholarships for families in the local community. The event is presented by Texas Health and supported by Moritz. More than 300 volunteers take part each year to help operate the event.

The Turkey Trot generally proceeds in most weather conditions, with severe lightning given as a reason for delay.
