Fort Worth YMCA Turkey Trot
The Fort Worth YMCA Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day running event held at General Worth Square in Fort Worth. The event offers multiple distances and welcomes strollers and dogs on course.
The event directs 100% of its proceeds to scholarships for families in the local community. Sponsors for the event include Texas Health and Moritz. More than 300 volunteers support the event each year.

- 8K
The first finishers in each distance receive commemorative items: the first 1,000 children in the Gobbler Trot receive a finisher award, the first 2,000 8K finishers receive a commemorative medal, and the first 10,000 5K finishers receive a commemorative medal.
Race packet pickup times and location are to be announced. Parking details will be announced; participants are encouraged to arrive early and consider carpooling. The event is planned to proceed in typical weather conditions; only severe lightning will cause a delay. A Train to Trot program is associated with the event, and sponsor opportunities are available.
