Mogadishu Mile 2026 : El Paso
The Mogadishu Mile is a series of in-person and virtual races held in El Paso as part of the Ranger Memorial Triad. The event honors the legacy of the U.S. Army Rangers and includes multiple race formats and recognition for finishers.

All in-person races begin at Ascarate Park in El Paso. The course for the 5K and 10K is an out and back route on a paved trail. Packet pick-up is provided at 3625 Douglas Ave, with same-day packet pick-up and same-day registration available at Ascarate Park.
A kit run option is offered; a kit run is a run while wearing a ballistic tactical vest and participants must provide their own vest. The children’s 1 mile fun run is scheduled so parents can run other races and then assist their children; the fun run will not start until parents have completed the other races. Parents may accompany children without registering unless they want a shirt and finisher medal.
All 5K and 10K racers receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal. Sizes are not guaranteed after 30 May 2026. Virtual participants may submit results by mail to receive the Mogadishu Mile shirt and finisher medal. Runners who complete all three triad races in a year receive a triad T-shirt and medal.
