Chile Pepper Challenge Charity Ride and 5K Walk/Run
The El Paso Bicycle Club presents a charity cycling event and 5K walk/run on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Grace Gardens, 6709 Westside Dr., El Paso, Texas 79932. Proceeds benefit the Alzheimer's Association.
The event includes multiple supported cycling routes and a separate 5K walk/run. Distances offered:
- 62 miles Habanero Ride
- 40 miles Chile Rojo Ride
- 25 miles Chile Verde Ride
- 5 miles Family Fun Bell Pepper Ride
- 3.1 miles 5K Walk/Run
All rides are fully supported with route markings, rest stops approximately every 15 miles, and SAG vehicles. Porta potties are available at rest stops. Rest stop counts listed by route: 62 miles has four rest stops, 40 miles has three, and 25 miles has two.
Registration fees are listed per distance and for the 5K walk/run. Same day registration is available. Registration includes a participant number, T shirts for the first 500 registrants, a finisher medal, and post ride food and beverage.
Packet pick up is available at multiple locations in El Paso in the week before the event, including Trek El Paso, Podium Finish, Crazy Cat Cyclery, El Paso Vintage Bicycle, La Wheela Bike Shop and Restaurant Bar, Desert Fox Cyclery, and Border Bicycle.
