Chile Pepper Challenge Charity Ride and 5K Walk/Run
The El Paso Bicycle Club is presenting a charity cycling event and a 5K walk/run on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at Grace Gardens, 6709 Westside Dr., El Paso, Texas 79932. The event includes multiple supported routes through the Upper and Mesilla Valleys and a community 5K walk/run.
Ride options and the walk/run:
- 62 miles Habanero Ride
- 40 miles Chile Rojo Ride
- 25 miles Chile Verde Ride
- 5 miles Family Fun Bell Pepper Ride
- 5K Walk/Run
All rides are fully supported with route markings, rest stops, and SAG vehicles. Rest stops are provided approximately every 15 miles and porta potties are available. The 62 mile route has four rest stops, the 40 mile route has three rest stops, and the 25 mile route has two rest stops. The 5K includes age group categories for competition.
Proceeds benefit the Alzheimer’s Association and support caregiver services, educational resources, a 24/7 helpline, and research funding. Registration fees listed for the cycling distances and the 5K are available through September and there is no same day registration. Registrations include a participant number, T shirts for the first 500 registrants, a finisher medal, and post ride food and beverage.
