Eagle in the Sun Triathlon
The Eagle in the Sun Triathlon is scheduled for September 20, 2026, in El Paso, Texas, at 6900 Delta. The event features multiple multisport and running options for individual competitors and relay teams.
Event formats and primary distances include:
- Individual Sprint: 400 meter swim in a 50 meter pool, 12 mile bike, 3.1 mile run.
- Aquabike: 400 meter swim in a 50 meter pool, 12 mile bike.
- Bike-Run: 12 mile bike, 3.1 mile run.
- 2 Person Relay: team event with distances matching the triathlon format.
- 3 Person Relay: team event with distances matching the triathlon format.
- 5k Run/Walk: 3.1 mile run on the Playa Drain Trail.
The first 600 participants are guaranteed a moisture wicking race shirt, athlete bag, water bottle and swim cap. All participants will receive post-race snacks and drinks, access to a race day Expo, chip timing and a finisher medal.
Relay registration requires creating a team name and then joining the correct team; listed registration fees are per team member. Packet pickup is scheduled on the days before the race at local venues in El Paso; athletes must pick up their own packet and present photo identification and a USAT membership card.
