Miles for Michael 5.12K Run/Walk and Children’s Dash
This event takes place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Charles Towne Landing Visitor's Center in Charleston, South Carolina. The program includes an in-person Miles for Michael 5.12K Run/Walk, a Virtual Miles for Michael 5.12K Run/Walk, and a Miles for Michael Children's Dash. The in-person event is untimed and open to participants with a range of athletic ability. Dogs are not permitted on the racecourse for insurance and liability reasons.
The 5.12K distance honors the honoree's birthday on May 12 and reflects a preference for unconventional measurements. All proceeds from the memorial event will be donated to a family fund established to support charitable causes important to the honoree. Finisher swag includes a unisex t-shirt; registrants who wish to receive a specific shirt size are asked to register by April 25.
The event acknowledges a local runner who was active in the Charleston running community and who participated in many races and charitable travels.
