Floppin' Flounder 5K
The Floppin' Flounder 5K takes place on May 30, 2026, at Sullivan's Island Fish Fry Shack in Sullivans Island, SC. The event is presented by the Charleston Running Club with assistance from the Sullivan's Island Fire & Rescue Department and has run for more than 25 years.
Race options include:

- 5K Walk
- 5K (Kids 12 and under)
All participants receive a race shirt and a finishers medal. Proceeds benefit the Sullivan's Island Fire & Rescue Department, the Charleston Running Club, and other local charities. The event is held rain or shine; organizers note that conditions may be hot and advise participants to hydrate and use sunscreen.
Awards are given across multiple categories. Prizes include top three overall for men and women, age-group awards covering minors through seniors, and special awards for masters, grandmasters, and great grandmasters. There is also a memorial award presented to the fastest boy and the fastest girl under age 12.
