Floppin' Flounder 5K - Sullivan's Island
The Floppin' Flounder 5K is scheduled for May 30, 2026 at Sullivan's Island Fish Fry Shack in Sullivans Island, South Carolina. The event is presented by the Charleston Running Club with support from the Sullivan's Island Fire & Rescue Department and runs rain or shine.

Registration fees listed include $35 for the adult 5K run and walk and $25 for the kids 5K. Registration opens January 20, 2026; most entries close March 30, 2026, while the children's entry accepts registrations through race day.
All participants receive a race shirt and a finisher's medal. Proceeds benefit the Sullivan's Island Fire & Rescue Dept., the Charleston Running Club, and other local charities.
Awards cover top overall finishers and age-category results. Prizes include top three overall for male and female, first Master (40+), first Grandmaster (50+), first Great Grandmaster (60+), and top three in multiple age groups from 10 and under through 85 and over. A memorial award is presented to the fastest boy and girl under age 12.
Early packet pick up is available at Fleet Feet Mount Pleasant the Thursday before the event. Race day packet pick up is at the Fish Fry Shack. Several sponsorship levels are offered, with fees ranging from $250 to $4,000 and benefits such as exhibitor space, mentions in announcements, logo placement, social media exposure, and complementary entries.
