Midwood Mile

Midwood Mile : Plaza Midwood, Charlotte
The Midwood Mile is organized by the Plaza Midwood Neighborhood Association and takes place in Plaza Midwood, Charlotte, with the start area at Arts+ Community Campus, The Plaza (2304 The Plaza, Charlotte, NC 28205) and a finish near Hamorton Place before Landis Avenue. A post-race celebration is planned at Resident Culture Brewing Company, located near the finish.
The event is staged as three separate one-mile races:
- Family Mile
- Women's Mile
- Men's Mile
Registration includes a shirt and entry into prize drawings. Prizes for the Women's and Men's Mile are gift cards for the top three finishers: first $100, second $50, third $25. In the Family Mile, first place finishers in each age group from 5 to 12 receive a $25 gift card to Harper & Skyler's Toys & Sweets. All children 12 and under receive finisher medals.
The event notes that registrants receive a complimentary drink at Resident Culture; the complimentary items are defined as soft drinks, Ginger's Revenge, Red Clay Cider, and Resident Culture produced products including Cümulo, N.A.R.C., and Resident Culture craft beer.
Registration policy states there are no refunds, race management may cancel or modify the event for unfavorable conditions, and registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to "Acts of God." Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
