Midwood Mile : Plaza Midwood Neighborhood Association
Midwood Mile is a one-mile community running event held in Plaza Midwood, Charlotte, with start at Arts Plus (2304 The Plaza) and a finish near Hamorton Place before Landis Avenue. The event is organized with three separate heats: a Family Mile, a Women's Mile, and a Men's Mile. An after party will take place at Resident Culture near the finish area and will include a post-race celebration in the beer garden.
Registration includes a race shirt, a chance to win prizes, and a complimentary drink at Resident Culture redeemable for select products. All children 12 and under will receive finisher medals. Prize awards include gift cards for the top three finishers in the Women's and Men's Mile and gift cards for first-place finishers in each child age group from age five through twelve. To qualify for age-group prizes, children must run; stroller riders and bikers are not eligible for those prizes.
The event notes that registration fees are nonrefundable. Race management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions, and registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to Acts of God.
