Midwood Mile

Midwood Mile : Plaza Midwood, Charlotte (September 26, 2026)
Midwood Mile is a community running event presented by the Plaza Midwood Neighborhood Association in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event uses the Arts+ Community Campus at The Plaza as the start location and finishes on Hamorton Place before Landis Avenue. A post-race celebration is held at Resident Culture, located near the finish line at 2101 Central Ave.
The program includes three separate mile heats:
- Family Mile (children 12 and under; parents with strollers and dogs welcome)
- Women's Mile
- Men's Mile
Registration includes a race shirt and entry into prize drawings. Registered participants receive a free drink redeemable at the Resident Culture post-race celebration; the free drink is limited to soft drinks, Ginger's Revenge, Red Clay Cider, and Resident Culture produced products including Cümulo, N.A.R.C., and Resident Culture craft beer.
Awards are given to top finishers: the top three in the Women's and Men's miles receive gift cards ($100, $50, $25). In the Family Mile, first place in each age from five through twelve wins a $25 gift card to Harper & Skyler's Toys & Sweets. All children 12 and under receive finisher medals; children must run to qualify for age-group prizes, with no stroller riders or bikers eligible.
Registration fees are nonrefundable. Race management may cancel or modify the event for unfavorable conditions and does not refund fees in the event of Acts of God. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
