Black Copperhead Sting 50k
The Black Copperhead Sting is a looped trail event at Rocky Branch Park in Belmont, North Carolina. The event offers multiple race distances and takes place on marked singletrack and connector trails through wooded terrain.

The loop measures 3.24 miles with about 293 feet of elevation gain per lap. The course follows a sequence of trail segments named Tread, Canopy, Tread, Eagle, then the finish, and is marked with red ribbons and arrows. The route includes twists, climbs, roots, and rocks, and aid stations provide water, Tailwind, sodas, pickles, candy, cereal, pretzels, fruit, and bacon. First aid staff will be on site.
Trekking poles are permitted. Both runners and walkers are allowed to take part. Dogs and strollers are not permitted unless prior approval is given. The event is held rain or shine. Finishers receive a handmade pottery medal from BlueGill Pottery; each medal is unique.
