MIA Runway 5K 2026 Series

The MIA Runway 5K 2026 Series Presented by Publix is a set of runway races held at three Miami area airports. The series includes events at Miami Executive Airport (TMB), Miami Opa Locka Executive Airport (OPF), and Miami International Airport (MIA). The three events are scheduled for March 21, April 18, and October 17, 2026 respectively. Registration for the 2026 series is open.

The series is expected to bring together more than 5,500 participants and spectators. It supports the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign. The MIA stop is the sixth annual edition held at Miami International Airport and includes a run on the 8,600 foot runway 8L-26R. The MIA event is hosted at a 25,000 sq. ft. American Airlines maintenance hangar adjacent to the runway.

Miami Executive Airport’s event will be hosted at the Wings Over Miami Air Museum. Miami Opa Locka Executive Airport provides the second runway in the series and is noted for its connection to regional air and sea rescue operations. The Opa Locka race is presented as a night event and offers both 5K and 10K distances:

  • 5K
  • 10K

Results and photos from each event are provided after the races. Multiple airport and community partners are listed as supporters of the series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
