MIA Runway 5K 2026 Series
The MIA Runway 5K 2026 Series takes place at three Miami area airports: Miami Executive Airport (TMB), Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport (OPF), and Miami International Airport (MIA). The series is presented by Publix and benefits the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign. Organizers expect the three events to host over 5,500 participants and spectators combined.
Event formats vary by location. Miami Executive (TMB) is hosted at the Wings Over Miami Museum and is presented as a runway 5K. Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport (OPF) is presented as a night race with options for both 5K and 10K. The MIA event will take place on runway 8L-26R, which is described as 8,600 feet long, and will be hosted at the American Airlines maintenance hangar, a 25,000 square foot facility adjacent to the runway.
