MIA Runway 5K 2026 Series
The MIA Runway 5K 2026 Series Presented by Publix is a sequence of runway races held at three Miami‑Dade airports: Miami Executive Airport (formerly Kendall-Tamiami) in March, Miami‑Opa Locka Executive Airport in April, and Miami International Airport in October. The organizer expects the three events combined to host over 5,500 participants and spectators. The series benefits the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign.
Each stop has distinctive features. The Miami International event is scheduled on runway 8L-26R, an 8,600 foot runway, and is hosted from a 25,000 square foot American Airlines maintenance hangar adjacent to the runway. Miami Executive Airport will host its race at the Wings Over Miami Museum. Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport will hold a night race and is noted as the location of a U.S. Coast Guard Air and Sea Rescue Station.
Registration for the 2026 series is listed as open for the three dates in March, April, and October. Event materials list race results and photos for past editions, and a First Class Ticket upgrade is offered for the Miami International event as an optional experience.
