Mesa Turkey Trot 5K - 10K
The Mesa Turkey Trot is an annual community race held on November 26, 2026 at Red Mountain Park in Mesa, Arizona. The event is presented as Arizona's original Thanksgiving Day community race and is noted as the 58th annual running.
Distances offered:
- 10K (chip timed, real time results and photos)
- 5K (chip timed, real time results and photos)
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (untimed)
- Virtual Run (US addresses only; items shipped after the event)
All in-person participants receive a custom finisher medal and a custom tech t-shirt, with a shirt opt-out discount available. Male and female age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each age division for the 10K and 5K race day participants. Pre- and post-race refreshments include items such as granola bars, fruit, water, and sports drink.
The course follows paved roads around Red Mountain Park and finishes in the park parking lot. Packet pick-up includes a drive-thru option the day before at the park north lot and race day packet pick-up that closes shortly before each distance; teams and large families are required to pick up packets prior to race day. Parking is available at Red Mountain High School across the street. The event is managed by StartLine Racing and proceeds benefit the Sertoma Club of Mesa.
