About the race
The Mesa Turkey Trot is a community running event held at Red Mountain Park in Mesa, Arizona on November 26, 2026. This is the 58th annual edition and is described as Arizona’s original Thanksgiving Day community race. The event is organized by the Sertoma Club of Mesa and managed by StartLine Racing, with race proceeds benefiting the Mesa Sertoma Club.
Distances offered:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- Virtual Run (US addresses only)
The 10K and 5K are chip timed with real time results and event photos available through the race timing service and mobile app. The 1 Mile Fun Run is untimed; all participants in that distance receive a shirt and a medal. Courses run on paved roads around Red Mountain Park and finish in the park parking lot.
Participants receive a custom finisher medal and a custom event tech t-shirt by default; a no-shirt option and a long-sleeve upgrade are noted. Male and female age group awards are given to the top three in each age division for the 10K and 5K. Packet pick-up includes a drive-thru option the day before the race and race day pick-up that closes shortly before each start. The event is stroller and wheelchair friendly with required back-of-pack starts, allows leashed pets at the back of the pack, and does not permit bicycles, wagons, or scooters on course. There are no refunds for this event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
