Mercer County Twilight QUAD - Fredonia 5K
The Fredonia 5K is the third event in the Mercer County Twilight QUAD, which marks its 43rd anniversary in 2026 and is described as the oldest continuous running series in the region. The series has recorded over 50,000 finishers through its first 140 events. The four-event series takes place on Wednesday evenings during the summer months.
The Fredonia race is scheduled for July 29, 2026, in downtown Fredonia, PA. The course is a 5,000 meter out-and-back, rolling route with a gradual half mile downhill finish. All 5K events in the series are chip timed, with timing mats at miles 1, 2, and 3 to provide split times.
The event is open to runners and walkers. Awards include top five male and top five female overall finishers, top masters male and female finishers, and top three in each age group with no duplications. A separate half mile children's run is included; each child receives a finisher's ribbon and youth age group awards are given.
Runners who complete all four QUAD events receive a commemorative award. Each year over 150 runners and walkers complete all four events. Specialty QUAD shirts are available for purchase on site on a first come first serve basis. Base 5K entry is $20 until 24 hours prior to the race and $25 on race day. Kids race entry is $10.
