Moraine Regatta 5K
The Moraine Regatta 5K takes place on August 2, 2026, at Moraine State Park in Portersville, PA. The event is part of the annual Moraine State Park Regatta and is a timed 5K run that uses the Winterfest 5K course. The course begins at the Pleasant Valley Beach area parking lot, continues onto the Sunken Garden Trail with views of Lake Arthur, and returns toward the main regatta area. The route combines road and trail surfaces.
Parking is available at Pleasant Valley Beach South Shore parking and is free. The wider regatta includes local vendors, water sports, and nature themed activities for multiple age groups. The race supports efforts to promote eco recreation and preserve the park.
Registration fees vary by date and age group. From the initial open period through May 1 the fees are $10 for 17 and under and $20 for 18 and older. From May 2 through July 1 the fees are $15 for 17 and under and $25 for 18 and older. From July 2 through July 26 the fees are $20 for 17 and under and $30 for 18 and older. From July 27 through August 2 the fees are $30 for 17 and under and $35 for 18 and older.
Registered runners receive a commemorative 2026 t shirt. Runners who register by July 1 are guaranteed a size; after July 1 shirts are available while supplies last. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in the following age brackets: 17 and under, 18 to 29, 30 to 45, 46 to 60, and 61 and older.
