Moraine Regatta 5K : Portersville, PA
The Moraine Regatta 5K is a timed 5K running race held at Moraine State Park on August 2, 2026. The event is part of the annual Moraine State Park Regatta and supports the park's eco-recreation and preservation efforts. The course was updated for 2026 and begins at the Pleasant Valley Beach parking area, continues onto the Sunken Garden Trail with views of Lake Arthur, and returns toward the main regatta area. The route is a combination of road and trail surfaces.
Parking is available at Pleasant Valley Beach South Shore Parking; parking is free and participants are directed to the main Pleasant Valley Beach lot. Packet pickup is handled at an information tent on race day. The event features local vendors, water sports, and nature-themed activities within the larger regatta.
Registration fees vary by age and by registration period, with lower rates for younger participants and higher rates closer to the event date. A commemorative 2026 t-shirt is offered to registrants; organizers note an early-registration cutoff for guaranteed shirt sizes, after which shirts are available while supplies last. Awards are presented to top male and female finishers in several age brackets including 17 and under, 18–29, 30–45, 46–60, and 61 and over.
