May River Shrimp Hawaiian Shirt 5K
The May River Shrimp Hawaiian Shirt Run is a themed 5-kilometre run and walk held in Bluffton, South Carolina on July 25, 2026. The event starts and finishes at Bluffton Oyster Factory Park and follows a route through the historic streets of Old Town Bluffton.
Participants are encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts and shorts. Prizes are awarded for the most colorful "Flyin Hawaiians" with categories for adult, child, and team entries. All participants receive a Hawaiian-themed event t-shirt, a Hawaiian lei, and post-race refreshments. Beer sales after the race are available for adults 21 years and older.
An award ceremony and post-race party include refreshments, music, and door prizes. Competitive awards are given overall for male and female finishers and for masters, plus age-group awards for 1st through 3rd in standard age divisions including 12 and under up to 70 and over.
Registration fees vary by registration period; race day cash registration is available onsite at the Oyster Factory Park for the posted race day price. Packet pickup and late registration are scheduled for July 23 at Mountain High Outfitters (Tanger 2) during the posted packet pickup hours.
