May River Shrimp Hawaiian Shirt 5K in Bluffton, SC
The event is scheduled for July 25, 2026 and starts and finishes at Bluffton Oyster Factory Park, 55 Wharf Street, Bluffton, SC. The course goes through the historic streets of Old Towne Bluffton and is organized as a combined run and walk distance of 5K.
Participants are encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts and shorts. All participants receive a Hawaiian themed event t-shirt and a Hawaiian lei, and post-race refreshments are provided. Post-race beer sales are available for adults 21 years and older. An award ceremony with music, door prizes, and a Best Flyin Hawaiians contest follows the event, with prize categories for Adult, Child, and Team.
Competitive awards include Overall Male and Female (1st–3rd), Master Male and Female (1st–3rd), and age group awards (1st–3rd) in the divisions 12 & under, 13–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 & over.
Packet pick up and late registration are scheduled for July 23 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mountain High Outfitters (Tanger 2). Registration fee tiers listed by the organizer include early pricing through July 5, pre-registration through July 24, and a higher cash fee on race day.
