Savannah Southern Half event overview
The Savannah Southern Half is a road race weekend in Savannah, Georgia, held on November 14, 2026. The event offers two distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
The course begins and finishes at Forsyth Park and travels through downtown Savannah on closed roads. The half marathon route passes through the Savannah Bananas' stadium and moves past oak trees draped in Spanish moss, historic porches, churches, and neighborhood streets.
Race weekend includes a race expo and packet pick up at Trustees' Garden and the Kehoe Iron Works Campus the day before the races, plus additional weekend activities such as live acts, DJs, dance troupes, street food, and on course aid. The event provides an exclusive runner community with year round meetups, training plans, partner perks, and Show Your Bib specials for registered runners.
Participants should note a course pacing requirement: runners must maintain a 17 minute per mile pace. Runners who do not maintain that pace may be redirected and will run without full course support once normal traffic is restored.
