May River Shrimpfest Hawaiian Shirt Run
The 2026 Alliance Roofing Sunset Hawaiian Shirt Run takes place on Saturday, July 25 at Bluffton Oyster Factory Park. The event features a start and finish at the park and a course that goes through the streets of Old Town Bluffton.
The event distance is a 5K run/walk. Participants are encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts and shorts; prizes are planned for the most colorful Hawaiians and for Best Flyin Hawaiian in kid, adult, and team divisions. All participants receive a Hawaiian themed event t-shirt, a Hawaiian lei, and post race refreshments.
Entry fees are tiered by date: $36 through July 5, $42 from July 6 through July 24, and $50 on July 25. Packet pick up and late registration details are to be announced.
Awards include overall male and female places 1st through 3rd, master male and female places 1st through 3rd, and age-group awards 1st through 3rd for divisions 12 and under, 13–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 and over.
A post race party follows the awards and will include refreshments, music, door prizes, and a cash beer bar. The event supports Libraries for Kids International and is produced by Bear Foot Sports. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
