Beach Bum Run - Annual DPT 5K/10K
The Beach Bum Run - Annual DPT 5K/10K is a 5K and 10K run/walk hosted by students in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at Georgia Southern University, Armstrong Campus. The event is scheduled for April 25, 2026 in Savannah, Georgia at 11935 Abercorn St. The course spans the Armstrong Campus and will be lined with volunteers.

The event carries a Beach Bum Run theme and participants are encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts, board shorts, floaties, or floppy hats. Participants receive a race t-shirt and a swag bag at on-site packet pickup. Prizes are awarded to top finishers in each category. Professional race timing is provided by Endurance Race Services and results are posted online.
Packet pickup information is provided on site with two options:
- Day-before pickup: Friday, April 24 at Armstrong Campus Student Union (Starbucks) from 12:30 to 5:00 PM.
- Day-of pickup: Saturday, April 25 at Armstrong Campus Student Union from 7:45 to 8:30 AM.
The race is family and dog friendly; strollers and leashed dogs are permitted. Proceeds benefit the Georgia Southern Physical Therapy Club and support student opportunities to engage with and serve the Savannah area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
