The 5K course is USATF certified. Participants receive a long-sleeve race tech shirt and finisher medal; the 5K includes a custom timed bib. Age-group and overall awards are offered for the 5K. Age-group awards are three deep and cover the following male and female groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over. Awards are based on chip time with no double dipping. Packet pick-up is available at two local stores on the days before the event and there is a race-day packet pick-up option.
