About the race
The Mansfield Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day running event held at James McKnight Park East in Mansfield, Texas. The event includes a timed 5K and a short kids Fun Run, and it features on-course support and post-race provisions.

Participants receive a long-sleeve race tech shirt and a finisher medal; the 5K includes a custom timed bib. Awards are given for overall and masters overall (male and female) and for age groups, with age-group awards three deep. Awards are based on chip time and overall winners do not also receive age-group awards. Age groups span from 10 & under through 70 & over in male and female divisions.
Logistics include packet pick-up available at local running stores in the days before the event and at the venue on race morning. The 5K course has one aid station near the midpoint to provide water and observe safety. Headphones are not allowed on the 5K course. Strollers are permitted when used considerately; runners should be familiar with the course layout. Dogs are allowed on short leashes and must not interfere with other participants and must be cleaned up after.
