Mandan Rodeo Days 4th of July Road Race
The Mandan Rodeo Days 4th of July Road Race is a community 5K event held along Main Street in downtown Mandan, North Dakota. The course follows Main Street from around 3rd Ave NW west to 10th Ave NW, then returns east past the Mandan Depot to a point near Burger King before returning along Main Street. The route runs along the full length of Mandan’s historic Main Street used for the Independence Day parade.
The event includes two 5K categories:
- 5K Adult (ages 13 and up)
- 5K Youth (ages 5 to 12)
Runners and walkers on course are accompanied by thousands of spectators lining the street for the Independence Day parade, and the course is described as having flat terrain suitable for steady pacing. The event is noncompetitive and part of the Mandan Rodeo Days celebrations in July.
Each year a portion of registration fees is donated to local organizations. Ten dollars from every registration is donated to the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation. Additional funds support the Mandan Progress Organization and Visit Mandan, and registrations have contributed nearly $25,000 to date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
