Mandan Rodeo Days 4th of July Road Race
The Mandan Rodeo Days 4th of July Road Race is a noncompetitive 5K run and walk held on Main Street in Mandan, North Dakota, as part of the city’s Independence Day celebration. The event is presented by Bismarck Magazine and Visit Mandan and is described as an annual tradition; the edition noted is the 45th running.
The course uses the full length of historic Main Street. The reported route begins at the intersection of 3rd Ave NW and West Main Street, proceeds west to 10th Ave NW, turns around and travels east toward Main Street near Burger King, and returns to the Mandan Depot finish area. Parade-goers line the route during the morning celebration.
A portion of registration fees supports local charities. Ten dollars from each registration is donated to the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation, with nearly $25,000 raised for that charity to date. The race also supports Mandan Progress Organization and Visit Mandan.
Registration windows and fees are published for advance and onsite entry. Advance registration was open May 1 through June 3 with published adult and youth pricing that increases after early registration; onsite registration and packet pick-up are listed on the days immediately before and on July 4 with limited t-shirt availability.
