Event Overview
The Mandan Rodeo Days 4th of July Road Race is a noncompetitive 5K run and walk held on July 4 in Mandan, North Dakota. It is presented by Bismarck Magazine and Visit Mandan.
Course and Setting
The course runs along the entire length of Mandan's historic Main Street. It starts at the intersection of 3rd Ave NW and West Main Street, near Dykshoorn Park and the Historic Train Depot. Participants run west to 10th Ave NW, then turn east, passing the Mandan Depot and continuing to just before Burger King before returning to the finish line at the Mandan Depot. The event is held prior to the town's Independence Day Parade, and spectators line the route.
Events and Registration
The event features two categories:
- 5K Adult for participants aged 13 and over.
- 5k Youth for participants aged 5 to 12.
Registration includes a t-shirt, race medal, and bib. A portion of each registration fee is donated to the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation, with additional funds supporting the Mandan Progress Organization and Visit Mandan. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
