Course and charity

The course uses the full length of Mandan’s Main Street. It begins at Dykshoorn Park at 3rd Ave NW and West Main, heads west to 10th Ave NW, then returns east past the Mandan Depot to just before Burger King, and finishes back near the starting point. The route is described as flat. Spectators line the street during the Independence Day parade.

The race donates part of each registration to local causes. Ten dollars from every registration is given to the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation; additional funds support the Mandan Progress Organization and Visit Mandan. The event has raised nearly $25,000 for the cancer center to date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
