Event information

The Mandan Rodeo Days 4th of July Road Race is a noncompetitive 5K run and walk held on July 4 in Mandan, North Dakota. The event is presented by Bismarck Magazine and Visit Mandan. Distances offered include:

  • 5K Adult (13+)
  • 5K Youth (Ages 5 - 12)

Standard entry fees listed are $35 for adults and $25 for youth during the early registration period, with a noted price increase in June. Onsite registration, if available, has higher fees. Registrations include a T-shirt, race medal, and bib. The organizer donates $10 from each registration to the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation; the event has raised nearly $25,000 to date. Additional funds support Mandan Progress Organization and Visit Mandan.

Course and location

The course begins at Dykshoorn Park at 3rd Ave NW and West Main. Runners head west to 10th Ave NW, loop back east past the Mandan Depot to just before Burger King, then return toward the starting area. The route uses the full length of Main Street in Mandan.
