Otter Creek Trail Festival : Harmon Lake, Mandan (June 12-13, 2026)
The Otter Creek Trail Festival is a two-day outdoor event at Harmon Lake Recreation Area in Mandan, North Dakota. The weekend includes a trail run held on the evening of June 12 and a mountain bike race on June 13, with multiple course options and race categories.
Trail run distances:
- Short Loop: ~3.5 miles
- Long Loop: ~12-13 miles
Mountain bike race distances:
- Beginner: 13 miles
- Sport: 35 miles
- Expert: 55 miles (three laps)
- E-Bike category offered for the 35-mile sport race
Event services and awards include chip timing, on-course aid stations, a finisher's patch, and a complimentary meal with a drink ticket. The mountain bike races feature cash awards, with a stated total payout of $4,200 and specific prize amounts for top places in the 55-mile race; age-group recognition is provided across distances. A free race t-shirt is offered for early registrants and other event swag is listed for trail run participants.
Participant capacity for the mountain bike race is capped at 200 racers. Camping is available at the onsite Harmon Lake campground on a first-come, first-serve basis.
