North Dakota Santa Run
The North Dakota Santa Run is a holiday 5K held on 12/12/2026 in Mandan, North Dakota, at 411 West Main St., 58554. The event takes place in downtown Mandan and is presented as a community run that highlights recovery and local support efforts.
The event traces its roots to a running group called Runners Against Destructive Decisions (RADD), which began as a community effort to support individuals in active recovery. The Santa Run was created to extend that message into the holiday season and originally began as the Bismarck Santa Run. Leadership of the event is now with the Mandan Progress Organization.
Two 5K events are offered:
- 5K Adult (13+)
- 5K Youth (Ages 5 - 12)
Adult registrants receive a Santa suit included in the race packet. Youth registrants receive a Holiday Tote that includes a Santa suit, a youth long sleeve shirt, and a race bib. Registration opens 10/1/2026 and closes 11/1/2026. Registration fees listed are $38.00 for the adult 5K and $30.00 for the youth 5K.
